“O que promove a escolha das mulheres pelos long-acting reversible contraceptives: uma scoping review”

Problemática: As mulheres, passam a maior parte da sua vida fértil a evitar a gravidez. Em alguns países, 65% das mulheres têm uma gravidez indesejada que resulta de falhas, de uso incorreto ou descontinuado dos contracetivos. Os profissionais de saúde são responsáveis pelo aconselhamento contracetivo, indispensável na orientação das mulheres. Objetivos: Conhecer os fatores que promovem as escolhas das mulheres pelos Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives. Métodos: Scoping Review, realizada entre 10 e 12 de novembro de 2021, segundo as orientações do Joanna Briggs Institute, com a questão de pesquisa: Quais os fatores que promovem as escolhas das mulheres pelos Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives? Resultados: Elegíveis seis estudos, publicados entre 2017 e 2019. Conclusão: Os programas de aconselhamento contracetivo que incluem aconselhamento por um profissional de saúde, suporte financeiro dos custos dos Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives, podem reduzir a percentagem da gravidez não desejada. Devem-se desenvolver intervenções centradas na mulher.
