2 - Writing - articles must be written in an objective manner, with appropriate language to the study, as well as emphasizing the appropriate scientific terminology.

They should avoid using the first person “my study...”, or the third person plural “we perceive...”, because in the scientific text the discourse must be impersonal, without value judgment and in the third person singular.

3 - Authorship - the concept of authorship is reflected in the substantial contribution of each person listed as AUTHORS (maximum of 6), with regard, above all, to the design and planning of the research project, obtaining or analyzing and interpreting data, writing and critical review.

4 - Formatting - manuscripts must be produced in a word:

6) Conclusion - relate the conclusions with the objectives of the work, avoiding statements not supported by the findings and include recommendations, when pertinent.

7) Acknowledgments - must be brief and objective, only to people or institutions that contributed significantly to the study.

8) References - APEO adopts the "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals", published by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors ― Vancouver Style, available at: http://www.icmje.org or http:// www.bu.ufsc.br/ccsm/vancouver.html  (version translated into Portuguese).

6 -  Assessment - will be done on a scale from 0 to 10 converted into three possibilities:

0 - Favorable: the manuscript is accepted for publication without any changes or with minor changes, which can be made by the Editor of the Journal. The work will not need to be returned to the author. Small changes must be indicated in the opinion.

5 to 9 - Favorable, provided that the reformulations indicated in this opinion and/or noted in the text are met: the publication proposal must be reviewed by the author. The recommendations must be accompanied by detailed suggestions that guide the author on the elements to be observed to improve the presentation of the work.

0 to 4 - Unfavorable: the manuscript should not be accepted for publication. This is because it must be completely reformulated according to the justifications presented in the opinion. In any of these cases, the author will be notified. Rejected manuscripts can be resubmitted as a resubmission, starting another peer review process.
